Mobility is a critical factor for well-being and integration into society.RATP Dev created FlexCité in 2003 in order to improve the lives of all travellers and facilitate access to public transportation for everyone. FlexCité is an RATP Dev subsidiary specializing in demand-responsive transport and transport for users with disabilities, to help them benefit from flexible mobility and high quality transport in optimal conditions. We innovate, invent, propose and deploy innovative solutions and services, in order to make travel easier and help people enjoy the city with complete freedom.

Process

RATP Dev is a socially responsible and supportive company that is aware and proud of its civic role. FlexCité has also forged a partnership with Académie du Service and Fondation Hospitalière Sainte Marie. This partnership has led to the drafting of a charter on the Spirit of Service and Welfare, which is endorsed by its ambassadors. The aim is to promote passenger welfare and to capitalize on the best practices of driver/attendants.

Beyond this action, our commitment — mobility for all — requires a resolute policy of innovation based on the key concepts of accessibility, respect and efficiency.

Accessibility: a fleet of vehicles adapted for people with reduced mobility and wheelchairs (whether electric or manual). These vehicles have technical aids (footboard, handrail, electric elevator, three-point safety belt, etc.) and special features: double doors, low floor and a wider aisle to facilitate internal circulation.

Accessibility also applies to FlexCité sales agencies, communication media and websites. And last but not least, accessibility of our services. For example, for some DRT services, it is possible to book your trips by phone, internet, e-mail, post... or via a mobile application.

In addition, our mobility platform teams and driver/attendants are trained to handle various types of mobility, visual, mental and hearing impairments. For us, respect, proximity, listening and availability are fundamental.

Efficiency means developing new solutions. We have therefore created the e-TPRM — the very first electric vehicle dedicated to paratransit. Its features include full-day autonomy, silent motorization and progressive acceleration for calmer mobility. The e-TPMR is also the first electric vehicle with space for three wheelchairs.
