Buonomini: "We hope that our proposal for the Roma Lido can be a solution to this problem, as also claimed by Legambiente itself"

Rome, 17 January 2018 - The 2017 Pendularia Report reconfirms the Rome-Ostia Lido line one of the worst in Italy and certifies that the Florence tram system (currently only line 1 to which two more will be added in the coming months), managed by RATP DEV ITALIA through its subsidiary GEST, represent one of the best Italian success stories.

In Florence, thanks also to project financing, it was possible to attract private investments and thus equip the city with one of the most modern tram networks in Italy.

"As demonstrated by the positive experience of the Florence tramway, also highlighted by Pendolaria 2017, we believe - says Andrea Buonomini, CEO of RATP DEV Italia - that the choice of project financing represents a solution that would allow significant investments to be made in a short time, to modernize infrastructure, increase employment and improve services. We hope that our proposal for the Roma Lido, confirmed by the Pendularia Report as one of the worst Italian lines, can be a solution to this problem, as also claimed by Legambiente itself. We hope that the Lazio Region will pay greater attention to our project which remains open to variations according to the possible changed needs of the Lazio Region and the Municipality of Rome and the improvements made on the line over the years. We continue to cultivate the hope of being able to revolutionize one of the worst commuter lines in Italy ".
