FLORENCE – February 14, 2020 - T1's tenth birthday has been celebrated. The first journey of line 1 from Villa Costanza-Stazione Santa Maria Novella dates back to February 14, 2010 and then from July 16, 2018 the new section was added to Careggi.
An important birthday with record numbers: in ten years the T1 has carried 142 million and 300 thousand passengers and traveled 12.5 million kilometers, equal to doing 300 times the tour of the world. And if you add the T2 that has been in service for a year, the number jumps to 151 million and 800 thousand passengers. There are 140,000 people who use the tram every day. More than 90% of travelers are satisfied with the service and 97% appreciate punctuality and regularity.
