A space designed to be functional, welcoming and comfortable. It will be a prototype and guide for new and future ticket offices.
COLLE VAL D’ELSA (Siena), 20 October 2021 - A modern, welcoming place, reminiscent of the architectural forms of Tuscany, where it will be possible to obtain information and purchase tickets and passes to travel on the buses in the region. The new Autolinee Toscane ticket office was inaugurated today, the first entirely designed and built by the company which, from 1 November, will manage all public transport in the region.
The inauguration was attended by Jean-Luc Laugaa, CEO of Autolinee Toscane, and the regional councilor for transport of the Tuscany Region, Stefano Baccelli, the Mayor of Colle Val d’Elsa, Alessandro Donati and the architect Luca Romagnoli of the Modourbano studio.
"We have chosen to start from Colle Val d’Elsa - comments Jean-Luc Laugaa - to give a tangible signal of our attention to the whole territory and not just to large urban areas. This ticket office is our model: users are the center of attention here. For them we have thought of equipped, welcoming and comfortable spaces, which will progressively be replicated in future ticket offices. From today - concludes Laugaa - we are present, with our staff, in this and all the other ticket offices to provide information, help people register and sell season tickets ".
The ticket office - designed by the "Modourbano" architecture studio, specializing in the design of areas and offices dedicated to welcoming the public with contemporary and design solutions - was designed to recall the characteristic elements of Tuscany, with references to the arcades, with architectural forms of the vaults and arches. A style, that of the Colle Val d’Elsa ticket office, which will be a prototype and guide for new and future ticket offices. While the current ticket offices will undergo a restyling of colors, furnishings and equipment, while maintaining the building's own particularities.
